It’s crucial to consider its size, which includes its length, width, and height. The belt dimension is derived from these measurements. Shipping companies like DHL, DPD, GLS, Hermes, and UPS each have their maximum permissible package girth.

Ensure that your package’s external measurements don’t surpass the carrier’s specified girth, weight, or volume limits. These restrictions not only influence the cost of shipping but also verify the acceptable package size.

DHL’s maximum belt dimension is set at 360 cm.
DHL package specifics:
– Standard dimensions: Up to 120 x 60 x 60 cm with the longest side not exceeding 200 cm. Dimensions beyond this incur additional charges.
– For cylindrical packages: Maximum diameter of 60 cm.
– Weight limit: Up to 31.5 kg. However, DHL Express can accommodate up to 300 kg.

Package classifications:
– Small Package (S): Up to 2 kg, with dimensions not exceeding 35 cm x 25 cm x 10 cm.
– Medium Package (M): Up to 2 kg, with dimensions capped at 35 cm x 25 cm x 10 cm.
– Larger packages ranging from 5 kg to 31.5 kg: Should not surpass 120 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm in size.

The maximum belt dimension for DPD is set at 300 cm.
DPD Package specifics:

Longest side: Up to 175 cm domestically, while for international Express, it’s limited to 120 cm.
Maximum width: 60 cm.
Maximum height: 60 cm.
Weight limit: Up to 31.5 kg.
Pickup Package at the store:

Maximum girth: 250 cm.
Weight limit: Up to 20 kg.
Length should not exceed 100 cm.
Home Pickup:

Maximum girth: 300 cm.
Weight restriction: Up to 31.5 kg.
Maximum length: 175 cm.
Additional charges apply for packages with a volume exceeding 150 liters.

Package classifications based on combined lengths:

XS Package: Longest + shortest side shouldn’t surpass 35 cm.
Small Package (S): Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 50 cm.
Medium Package (M): Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 70 cm.
Large Package (L): Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 90 cm.
Extra Large Package (XL): Girth not exceeding 300 cm.

The maximum belt dimension for UPS stands at 400 cm.

UPS package specifics:
– Maximum length for the longest side: 274 cm.
– Weight limit for the package: Up to 70 kg.

Packages weighing over 31.5 kg (or 25 kg within the EU) must be clearly marked.

For Hermes, the belt dimension is capped at 360 cm.

Hermes Package Details:
– The combined length of the longest and shortest sides should not exceed 150 cm. The longest side can go up to 200 cm, while the third side is restricted to 50 cm.

Take caution: If every side of your package reaches its maximum limit, you’ll surpass the allowable strap dimension at Hermes.

Weight Specifications:
– For XL packages: Up to 25 kg.
– For XXL packages: Up to 31.5 kg.

Package Classifications by Length:
– HP Package: Longest + shortest side combined should be within 37 cm.
– Small (S) Package: Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 50 cm.
– Medium (M) Package: Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 80 cm.
– Large (L) Package: Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 120 cm.
– Extra Large (XL) Package: Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 150 cm.
– Extra Extra Large (XXL) Package: Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 200 cm.

For GLS, the belt dimension is capped at 300 cm.

GLS Package Specifications:

Maximum length for the longest side: 200 cm.
Maximum width: 80 cm.
Maximum height: 60 cm.
Please note: If every dimension of your package is at its maximum limit, you’ll surpass the allowable belt dimension at GLS.

Weight Limit:

Package can weigh up to 40 kg.
Package Classifications by Dimension:

XS Package: Longest + shortest side combined should not exceed 35 cm.
Small (S) Package: Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 50 cm.
Medium (M) Package: Combined length of longest and shortest sides up to 70 cm.
